I promised I would give you guys the link to my short story once it was published, and though it has taken me a little longer to post it, here it is!
Still Life Paintings is now live in the March Issue of The Chick Lit Review. It's a first of sorts, the first online fiction publication credit that actually paid (and paid pretty well) and the first one that I can quickly link to.
I've had a few others make the grade, but this story is current, and it is easily accesible. So take a peek if you have a second, please.
Incidentally, I didn't consider this story to be chick-lit material until I read some of the other works on this site. So it goes to prove that you should always read sample stories from a publication before submitting your work, because you can't always go by the title or genre alone. Maybe your story isn't right at all, or maybe it is a better fit than you first realized.
And I would def. recommend the Chick-lit review as a great market. They answer promptly, they are just the nicest people, and the payment arrived like clockwork, about a week after my story was published.
