i'm having trouble with question #7 on "Creating a Character." i'm doing a fantasy and my character is in the army. Which class would he go under?

sorry if you're confused by this question. i didn't see the "neighborhood" part.

Hi, Bedwyn. I looked up "Creating a Character" by Leslie Oliver, so I could respond to your question. Her #7 asks about the neighborhood your character lives in. For your Army guy, his neighborhood would be the barracks or wherever he is stationed. But I think more than that, she's wants you to think about the status background of your character. For you, is he a officer or enlisted? A rich guy who enlisted to get back at his dad? Or a guy that is using the military to get college money? Or somebody whose patriotism makes him put his other plans on hold?

Use character questions like these to explore his background, but don't feel like you have to answer them all. And remember that you can use a question as a starting point, and go off on a tangent to discover more about him. Good luck!
